Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Longford is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join the finance team. This full-time role offers the opportunity for a qualified accountant to develop commercial finance skills and engage in data-driven decision making while supporting financial planning and performance analysis. The position is hybrid, with 2 days on-site and 3 days remote. Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency are required.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a finance role, ideally FMCG or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day commercial and operational analysis.
  • Assist with annual budgets, forecasting cycles, and long-term planning.
  • Prepare variance analysis and performance reporting.
  • Build and maintain KPI reporting.
  • Develop financial models to evaluate performance.
  • Deliver ad-hoc financial and commercial analysis.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across the finance function.

Job description

An established manufacturing group in Longford is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join its growing finance team. This is an ideal role for a qualified accountant who wants to build strong commercial finance skills and contribute to data-driven decision making.

Working closely with the Group FP&A Manager, you will support financial planning, performance analysis and strategic insight across the business.

This is a full time, permanent role. It is hybrid, 2 days on site 3 days from home.

Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day commercial and operational analysis (sales, margin, overheads, promotions, profitability)
  • Assist with annual budgets, forecasting cycles and long-term planning
  • Prepare variance analysis and performance reporting for senior leadership
  • Build and maintain weekly and monthly KPI reporting
  • Develop financial models to evaluate performance and trends
  • Deliver ad-hoc financial and commercial analysis to inform strategy
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across the finance function
Requirements
  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or part-qualified
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a finance role, ideally FMCG or manufacturing
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel; familiarity with BI tools an advantage
  • Comfortable working with large datasets
