Job summary

Protex AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Software Engineer to work hands-on with strategic global enterprise customers, partnering with Tech and Commercial teams to design and deliver high-impact computer vision solutions. You will shape greenfield features and ensure safety outcomes in complex industrial environments.

You will turn ambiguous technical problems into reliable products, with decisions impacting real-world factory safety on a global scale.

Qualifications

• Degree or background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building or deploying SaaS platforms or edge systems with real-world enterprise usage.
• Strong interest in computer vision and edge AI.
• Deep knowledge of at least one core language (e.g., Python, Go, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code quickly for client-specific edge cases with a focus on security and performance.
• Proficient in consuming and building APIs and handling event-driven webhooks to integrate with enterprise ecosystems.
• Excellent communicator who can move between technical deep-dives and executive discussions.
• Willingness to travel periodically to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on Technical Leadership: code integrations, configure edge video pipelines, drive deployments to completion.
• Drive Enterprise Adoption: enable prospects and customers to unlock Protex AI’s computer vision capabilities for hazard detection.
• Embed with Strategic Accounts: partner with plant managers, EHS, and IT leaders to architect measurable risk-reduction solutions.
• Bridge GTM and Product: collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering to deliver seamless solutions.
• Build and Scale the Function: establish best practices, reusable frameworks, and internal tools for global expansion.
