Main Duties and Responsibilities
The main duties and responsibilities of the Site Foreman HSE Responsibility are outlined as follows:
- Work as part of a team in the delivery of one or more projects at any one time, embracing the ethos of a “one team” culture.
- Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards, policies and procedures are always adhered to on-site.
- Be familiar with the HSQE management system and procedures in conjunction with the current statutory requirements.
- Be available and willing to provide coverage should the project manager be absent for any reason, assuming the role of managing the day‑to‑day operation of the site.
- Need to be familiar with programme and budgets for the project, fully understanding the impact of any overruns on the project.
- Have an input in the development of RAMS, completion of safety paperwork including statutory and company safety inspections.
- Understand the requirements in relation to the project design, specifications and client requirements.
- Drive and maintain standards for all site personnel, both direct staff and subcontractors.
- Ensure all works are completed to a high standard, efficiently, avoid reworks and identify and rectify any defects in a timely manner.
- Participate in site safety inspections, performed by both internal and external parties. Provide input in the closing out of any items identified.
- Ensure a positive experience for the client and their representatives, instilling an ethos of collaboration, co‑operation and respect.
- Other duties as required from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
The main knowledge, skills and experience required of the Site Foreman Responsibility are outlined as follows:
- Experience in a similar role within the industry.
- Experience on Irish Water projects a distinct advantage.
- Manual Handling and Safe Pass required.
- Basic understanding of health and safety standards and the ability to embrace the safety ethos of the organisation.
- Ability to work on your own initiative, strong leadership and problem‑solving qualities.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
- Full Driving Licence.
