Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to join on-site pharmaceutical manufacturing projects in Ireland. You will lead DeltaV systems, configure control logic, and coordinate with clients during IQ/OQ activities. Strong GMP compliance and on-site collaboration are essential for project success.

Responsibilities include developing specifications, testing procedures, and ensuring timely delivery within the project lifecycle; a degree and 2+ years pharma experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• GMP essential experience is required.
• Experience with DeltaV and other DCS/SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Generate and modify Functional Specifications and Test Specifications for Procedural and Physical Layer.
• Configure and test recipes, phases, equipment modules, control logic and interlocks per design specs.
• Support Installation Qualification and Operational Qualification at client site.
• Provide on-site DeltaV system initiation, implementation and qualification; coordinate site changes.
• Liaise with clients on design issues and manage project lifecycles.

Senior Automation Engineer

DeltaV - Automation Engineers required for Client site to join on-site project support activities.

Technical Skills

• GMP Essential
• Any DCS PLC SCADA Emerson DeltaV other DCS System

Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include but are not limited to Generation and modification of Functional specification Design and Test Specifications for Procedural and Physical Layer.
• Configuration and Testing of Recipes Phases Equipment Modules Control Logic and Interlock Scheme based on Design and Test Specifications. Interact with customer for Reviewing Design Specifications and Test Specifications.
• Work as part of a team for Installation Qualification and operational Qualification (SAT) at client site.
• Automation Project Support including Coding Design and Testing. Support of on-site DeltaV System Initiating Implementing and Qualifying sites changes Member of the On site Shift Support team Co-ordination of tasks to ensure timely delivery S88 / Batch Delta V expert.
• Expert understanding on all Project Lifecycle phases and tasks.
• Ability to liaise directly with client on design issues.
• Track record demonstrating an ability to lead a complete project.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Thorough understanding of system (installing rebuilding etc.).
• Suitability degree-qualified automation engineer with over 2 years pharmaceutical manufacturing experience.
