Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer in Ireland to join ICE Data Services. The role features a structured three-month onboarding with progression from parsing to independent ownership of securities with standard structures.

You will apply fundamentals from finance and data governance to ensure accurate reference data, build automation tools, and support clients with clear data explanations and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas and pivot tables.
• Working knowledge of Python, SQL, or similar tools for data manipulation and automation.
• Familiarity with AI tools to support data processing, analysis, and automation.
• Proven ability to extract meaningful insights from dense legal and financial documents.
• Strong written communication skills for client- or stakeholder-facing documentation.
• Fluency in English and a Nordics Language; additional languages are an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Parse, interpret, and transform data from legal filings into normalized reference data fields.
• Identify edge cases and novel instrument structures using rule-based and judgment-driven approaches.
• Execute multi-layer validation checks to meet accuracy and timeliness SLAs.
• Investigate root causes of data anomalies and contribute to resolution playbooks.
• Monitor data pipelines for drift, gaps, and outliers; escalate as needed.
• Respond to client data inquiries with structured, well-reasoned explanations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to surface upstream data gaps.
• Source authoritative documentation and maintain audit trails.
