Job summary

Ballyfin Demesne in Ireland is seeking a motivated Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our five-star F&B team. This full-time role covers 5 days over 7, with shifts around 3pm to close, reporting to the Restaurant Manager and F&B Manager.

You will ensure the highest standards of service and guest comfort, mentor floor staff, and work closely with the Head Chef and management on menu planning and events, leveraging wine knowledge to enhance guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior F&B assistant or Assistant Maitre D is essential.
• A good understanding of wine knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Food & Beverage service in the Hotel for your assigned shift.
• Assisting in setting the required five-star standards while also ensuring the efficient day to day running of service departments.
• Ensuring the service areas are adequately staffed and supervised and a high standard of service is delivered
• Work in closely with the Head Chef, F&B Manager and guests on menu planning and development of Food & Beverage events for clients
• Responsibility for inventory and stocks including wines, beverages.
• Plan, organise, control and review all service and systems to provide the best possible service to guests.
• To ensure a high level of hygiene throughout the departments, and ensure all of the team respect and maintain the equipment and furniture in the restaurant, bar and lounge areas.
• Act as a mentor and ensure all employees receive adequate training
• To work closely with senior management in achieving required targets in relation to payroll and gross profit percentage
