Job summary

Jensen Hughes is seeking a Fire Litigation Consultant to support high-profile fire safety cases across Ireland and the UK. You will lead site investigations, review complex documentation, and help prepare expert reports for court proceedings.

The role offers involvement from initial data collection to final witness statements, with opportunities for training and professional development in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fire Engineering or equivalent
• Established professional background in Fire Safety Engineering
• Experience with building construction design in relation to fire safety
• Experience with fire safety design in residential and commercial buildings
• Autonomous yet collaborative working style
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Strong general construction experience
• Enthusiasm to innovate and work with colleagues at all levels
• Client facing experience and ability to respond to client needs

Responsibilities

• Conduct site-based investigations to record evidence.
• Review technical documentation including manuals and maintenance records.
• Consult relevant standards and published guidance.
• Provide timely verbal or written advice understandable to laypersons and judges.
• Prepare reports in brief or detailed formats for court proceedings.
• Attend client meetings to discuss investigations.
• Engage with experts during litigation and assist in disclosure and report writing.
• Possibly provide expert witness testimony after training and experience.
