Job summary

AMCS seeks a FinOps Engineer to drive financial accountability and cost optimization across cloud platforms. You will build governance, enable cost transparency with Finance, Product, and Engineering, and lead automation for efficient spend management.

The role focuses on establishing cost-efficient provisioning, implementing a FinOps observability platform, and promoting best practices across engineering teams to balance performance with expenditure.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in FinOps, Cloud Operations, or Cloud Financial Management.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cost models.
• Experience with cost management tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to design governance frameworks and automation for cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a FinOps roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
• Establish governance policies for resource utilization, provisioning, and budget approvals.
• Collaborate with Finance, Product, and Engineering to ensure cost transparency.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely invoice processing.
• Design and implement a FinOps observability platform to monitor costs and usage.
• Define KPIs for cloud cost optimization and efficiency.
• Drive automation initiatives for cost efficiency across cloud environments.
