Financial Reporting Consultant - Limerick

One of our clients in Limerick, Ireland, is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Consultant. The role involves identifying and interpreting changes in accounting standards and regulations that impact client allocations and liaising with external audit firms to address these changes.

Details of the Role:
  • Duration:6 months, with potential for extension
  • Location:On-site in Limerick (at least 3 days per week)
  • Rate:Competitive hourly rate in Euros
Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish best practices to enhance client satisfaction and improve departmental performance.
  • Review and deliver financial statements to ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison with audit firms, keeping the team informed on industry and regulatory updates.
  • Identify training needs, guide staff, and uphold high-performance standards.
  • Guide on complex financial reporting issues and collaborate with Compliance and other internal teams.
Experience:
  • Extensive experience in the investment management industry, including fund administration, asset management, securities operations, or auditing.
  • Strong financial reporting background, particularly with Irish/UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Familiarity with the Irish regulatory environment related to fund accounting and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of fund accounting systems and experience with vendors like Bloomberg or Reuters.
  • Proven client-facing experience and a commitment to exceptional client service.
  • Ability to contribute to business development, including presentations and RFP responses.
