FINANCIAL CONTROLLER | CORK | RENEWABLE ENERGY SERVICES | ON-SITE

Reports to: CEO

Location: Cork City (North)

Industry: Renewable Energy Services (SME)

Salary: €80-85k base + bonus + healthcare + pension

Rocketsuite is delighted to be engaged by a growing SME in the renewable services industry in their search for an ambitious Financial Controller to lead and manage their finance function.

This hands-on role ensures strong financial control, timely reporting, and full compliance. The successful candidate will play a key strategic role on the Senior Leadership Team, shaping the company’s ambitious growth plans, with a clear pathway to Financial Director for the right person.

Role:

• Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, banking, and cash flow management.
• Supervise and develop the finance and admin team.
• Deliver accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Maintain robust financial controls, perform key reconciliations, and ensure full compliance with statutory requirements.
• Support the year-end audit and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain and improve internal financial policies, processes, and controls.
• Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and other regulatory requirements.
• Provide clear financial analysis and insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Partner with department heads to manage budgets effectively and drive cost control.

Candidate:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
• 5+ years post-qualification experience in a similar hands‑on finance leadership role
• MUST have SME experience, and be comfortable wearing multiple hats
• Commercially minded, detail-oriented, and able to work closely with non-finance teams
