Job summary

Royal London Ireland is seeking a Financial Accountant to join the growing Finance team in Dublin. The role offers exposure to financial reporting, management information, budgeting and forecasting, audit support, and strong financial controls.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will support SFCR and year-end processes while gaining breadth across finance activities and opportunities to drive improvements within the function.

Job description

At Royal London Ireland, we're looking for a talented and motivated Financial Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant who is keen to develop their career within a leading financial services organisation while gaining exposure across a broad range of finance activities.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity of the business, supporting regulatory reporting requirements, delivering high-quality financial analysis and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.

About the Role

This is a varied and rewarding position offering exposure to financial reporting, management information, budgeting and forecasting, audit support and financial controls.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the preparation of annual financial statements and the Solvency and Financial Condition Report (SFCR).
• Assisting with the external audit process.
• Contributing to the month-end close process, including journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Producing accurate management information and financial analysis.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintaining robust financial controls and governance processes.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation and increased efficiency.
• Investigating reporting issues and driving solutions to enhance accuracy and effectiveness across finance.

About You

We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys solving problems and is passionate about delivering high-quality work.

You'll ideally have:

• Newly qualified accountant status.
• Audit experience, with a Big 4 background considered advantageous.
