Job description

Barden is delighted to be supporting a key client to identify a Finance Business Partner. This will be a challenging but very rewarding role where you will partner with senior stakeholders across the IT function, delivering on strategic transformation initiatives.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will forecast both large scale opex and capex spend, as well as aligning actuals to the stage of completion for specific projects. The hiring manager is seeking a committed, positive and energetic professional who has the ambition to step into their role as part of a medium term succession plan.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Collaborate with the Head of Finance to provide strategic financial support to the C Level executives and other senior leadership across the business.
  • Participate in project teams to assist IT project managers with financial oversight and budget control for major IT transformation initiatives.
  • Support the forecasting, budgeting, and three-year planning processes for operational and capital expenditures.
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting, delivering analysis, insights, and decision-making support.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements.
  • Help ensure compliance with financial governance and risk management standards.
  • Provide financial decision support to the Finance Director and Head of Finance, and assist the senior finance team in delivering strategic objectives.

ABOUT THE PERSON

  • Be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.
  • The ideal candidate will be highly numeric & analytical.
  • A strong systems orientation including advanced excel skills.
  • Good communication & inter-personal skills with a proven ability to influence.
