Job summary

Itron is seeking a Payroll Administrator based in Cork, Ireland, reporting to a Payroll Manager within the Global Business Services organization. This fixed-term, 7–8 month role offers a hybrid work environment and a competitive package.

You will oversee payroll for assigned countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing while coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in a multi-national environment.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for assigned countries in partnership with external providers.
  • Develop and maintain payroll calendars, checklists, and SOPs for all entities.
  • Deliver monthly and annual payroll tax remittances and social security contributions.
  • Act as primary contact for payroll inquiries and employee questions.
  • Support expansion, compliance, and efficiency initiatives as the company scales internationally.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international payroll laws and best practices.

Position Overview:

The Payroll Administrator will report directly to a Payroll Manager within Itron’s Global Business Services organization based in Cork, Ireland.

The role currently offers a hybrid work environment with a competitive remuneration package.

Please note that this opportunity is a fixed-term role with an expected duration of 7‑8 months.

As a Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for processing payroll for assigned countries. Your primary focus will be ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing, maintaining payroll data integrity, and coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.

We’re looking for a Payroll Administrator to oversee the day to day operations of payroll for assigned countries within the Payroll function. In this role, you’ll ensure timely, accurate payroll processing and help drive business initiatives to support our expanding global workforce. Role & Responsibilities:
  • Manage end to end payroll processing for assigned countries in partnership with external providers, including preparation, review, and reconciliation of payroll inputs and reports each pay period to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain payroll calendars, checklists and standard operating procedures across all assigned entities.
  • Deliver monthly and annual payroll statutory obligations, ensuring timely and accurate payroll tax remittances, social security contributions, and other required filings for assigned countries.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll inquiries, resolving employee questions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives, including expansion, compliance, and operational efficiency efforts as the company continues to scale internationally.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve payroll related issues and ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Maintain up to date expertise on international payroll laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven experience in a multi-national environment
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Fluent English. Any additional language will be an advantage.

Depending on your experience, this role is expected to offer between gross 50,000 EUR and 55,000 EUR annually. We review compensation regularly to stay competitive in the market.
