Job summary

Orchard Care Group is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our national finance team, supporting our teams across Ireland in processing invoices, reconciliations, payroll and month-end activities.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will handle supplier invoices in Sage, assist with payroll queries, journals and ad hoc reporting, while upholding strong financial controls and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Level 8 degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or similar subject.
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar role (SME experience desirable).
• Strong reconciliation experience.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent administration, organisational and communication skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Input supplier invoices into Sage and prepare supplier reconciliations and payment runs.
• Assist in payroll processing and maintain payroll records.
• Assist month-end processes, journals and supporting reconciliations.
• Provide documentation and schedules for audits and ad hoc reporting.
• Support operational liaison with house management for expenses and cost allocations.
