Job summary

Jones Engineering Group is seeking a Field Service & Quality Engineer (E&I) based in Carlow, Ireland. The role covers end-to-end technical integrity of modular solutions, leading W1 inspections and managing the transition from delivery to site handover.

Qualifications

National Craft Certificate (Electrical/Instrumentation) + 5 years’ experience in industrial environments (Data Centers, Pharma, or Power Gen preferred).
Inspection Skills: Proven experience in W1/W2 commissioning workflows and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Mechanical Ability: Cross-skilled capability to perform minor mechanical snags (gland plate adjustments, seal integrity, bracketry).
Regulatory Knowledge (desirable): Familiarity with ATEX/EX standards and EU/EFTA electrical safety directives.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of E&I standards across EU/EFTA jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

Lead Internal Quality & W1 Sign-off at Carlow base with comprehensive E&I inspections and sign-off on ITP and As-Built drawings.
Perform field operations and site integration; undertake Mirror Inspections on arrival, document transit and handover.
Support preservation logs and verify contractor responsibilities; lead client walkthroughs addressing E&I layouts and interfaces.
Maintain rigorous reporting standards and coordinate with Carlow base for ongoing project communications.
