Job summary

Uniphar seeks an experienced Clinical Governance Pharmacist to oversee patient safety, regulatory compliance, and governance standards across the pharmacy network. The role travels across Ireland, partnering with Regional Managers, Supervising Pharmacists and teams to ensure practice meets PSI guidance and professional standards.

Qualifications

• PSI-registered Pharmacist requirement.
• Minimum 5 years post-registration community pharmacy experience.
• Experience in supervising pharmacist/management roles.
• Strong knowledge of Irish pharmacy legislation and PSI guidance.
• Experience with audits, incident investigations, risk management, and complaint handling.

Responsibilities

• Act as governance support partner for a portfolio of pharmacies.
• Drive compliance with PSI requirements, SOPs, legislation and professional standards.
• Conduct audits and monitor governance, patient safety and operational risks.
• Lead investigations into medication errors, near misses and patient safety incidents.
• Support PSI inspections, regulatory responses and corrective action planning.
• Identify compliance gaps and implement sustainable improvements with pharmacy teams.
• Provide coaching on governance and best practice to pharmacists and teams.
• Support rollout of new services, initiatives, and business projects.
• Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, training, SOP development, and Regulatory Office activities.
