Job summary

British Veterinary LGBT+ is seeking an experienced Farm Veterinarian to step into Clinical Director, blending clinical leadership with department management in a supportive, well‑established practice. You will oversee dairy, beef and sheep work, drive herd health planning, mentor junior veterinarians, and develop client relationships to grow farm services; a 1‑in‑4 weekend rota supports work‑life balance.

Qualifications

Several years of farm animal veterinary experience.
Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Experience in mentoring and supporting junior colleagues.
Strong interest in developing leadership skills with available programmes.
Commitment to proactive veterinary medicine and high clinical standards.

Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day management of the farm animal department.
Engage in a diverse caseload including dairy, beef, and sheep work.
Participate in herd health planning, fertility work, preventative medicine, and routine farm veterinary services.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships to support growth of farm services.
Mentor and support less experienced veterinarians, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.
