Job summary

Sysco in Dublin is seeking a Facilities Technician to support the Dublin Distribution Centre. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, and ensure safe, compliant operation of multi-temperature facilities.

The role requires a relevant trade qualification and at least 3 years’ experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. You’ll work with a team to uphold Quality, Health & Safety standards and maintain critical systems such as

Qualifications

• Possess mechanical and electrical maintenance experience and/or qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role in regulated manufacturing environment (POST APPRENTICESHIP).
• Excellent awareness and experience in relation to Quality, Health and Safety.
• Be familiar with planned preventative maintenance.
• Experienced in fault finding and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality maintenance service to operations, ensuring works are efficient, effective and safe.
• Provide maintenance support, enter data, update equipment records and participate in continuous improvement.
• Electrical & mechanical troubleshooting.
• Electro-mechanical repairs to high-speed, PLC-controlled plant, handling and packaging equipment, plus pneumatic & hydraulic control systems.
• Technical support for plant facilities and services, including compressed air and refrigeration systems.
• Performance of preventative maintenance routines.
• Update the maintenance management system (CMMS), recording changes and store transactions.
• Responsible for completion of planned work, shifts daily input of all works onto CMMS.
