Job summary

The Vet Office in Cork, Ireland, is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a modern, upgraded small animal practice in Mahon Point. The role offers a varied caseload and a salary of €44,000–€55,000 gross per year DOE, with 3+ years' small animal experience and VCI registration.

You'll work across consultations, routine surgery, diagnostics, dentistry, and hospitalised patients, in a well-equipped clinic with in-house lab, ultrasound, digital x-ray, and dedicated theatre.

Qualifications

• Small animal veterinary surgeon with at least 3 years of experience.
• VCI registration or eligibility.
• Confident with consultations and routine surgery.
• Ability to independently investigate and manage cases.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied small animal caseload including consultations, routine surgery, medical cases, diagnostics and imaging, dentistry, preventative care, and hospitalised patients.
• Collaborate with veterinary and nursing team while taking responsibility for own cases.
