Penhouse Design is a creative collective of senior designers, with a studio based in the countryside of County Laois, Ireland - approx one hour from Dublin. Role Description:

We want to expand our reach and ideally we are looking to hire a new team member who will work in our countryside studio. We want to hear from creative thinkers with a sharp wit and great communication skills who enjoy their craft. Attention to colour, creative typography and illustrative leanings will be particularly favoured in your design styling. As a small studio, the role is varied and hands-on, working with marketing teams and company owners. Daily tasks range from strategic thinking and creative branding, to the production of print-ready artwork and digital files, in an often fast-paced environment. As a Penhouse designer, you will manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and contribute to each project in the studio with valuable input.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree Qualification in Visual Communications or similar is a must, with a minimum of 5 years + experience, based in a creative design studio.
• We need a team member who is proficient in the Creative Cloud suite of programmes, primarily Illustrator and InDesign more actively, but of course the usuals beyond these too.
• New brand Identities, creative packaging projects and publication designs, should be projects that excite you!
• Designing for print should be second-nature but designing for digital media is also part of the role, fully understanding the preparation and delivery of finished production files.
• Creative Typography and layout should be a given, with the ability to produce clear, interesting, and engaging compositions. Designing for Accessibility will be very important for state jobs.
• Strong conceptual thinking is crucial - from brainstorming original ideas to translating often detailed briefs into strategic, creative design solutions with careful attention to detail.
