Job summary

TechHeads in Dublin, Ireland, seeks an Executive Deputy CIO to lead enterprise technology delivery and partner with the CIO on strategy and growth. You will drive across enterprise applications, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and AI while advancing governance and delivery maturity.

This is a genuine succession opportunity with a clearly defined pathway to Chief Information Officer, reporting to the CIO and engaging with the Board on strategic technology decisions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years leading enterprise technology functions in large organisations.
• Proven delivery of large-scale technology and digital transformation programmes.
• Strong background in PMO, Portfolio Management and Technology Governance.
• Broad knowledge across enterprise applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure, cybersecurity and data architectures.
• Experience in highly regulated environments such as Financial Services or similar industries.
• Demonstrated ability to influence Executive Committees, Boards and senior stakeholders.
• Commercial acumen with experience managing strategic technology vendors and outsources.
• Collaborative, people-first leadership developing teams and internal capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enterprise Technology Delivery function across a complex portfolio of strategic initiatives.
• Act as the CIO's deputy, supporting executive decision-making and representing Technology at Executive and Board-level forums.
• Drive delivery across enterprise applications, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital and data transformation programmes.
• Translate business and technology strategy into executable roadmaps with governance, milestones and measurable outcomes.
• Establish best-in-class portfolio governance, reporting and delivery frameworks.
• Lead capacity planning, demand management and portfolio prioritisation to align investment with objectives.
• Build and mature modern delivery practices including Agile and DevOps.
• Strengthen internal capability while managing strategic partners and vendors.
• Partner with senior leaders to keep technology aligned with priorities and growth.
• Champion innovation across cloud, automation, AI while maintaining governance in a regulated environment.
• Develop and mentor technology leaders, fostering accountability and collaboration.
