Job summary

Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate in County Galway is seeking a Head Chef to join the Senior Leadership Team, overseeing multiple outlets and meal periods on the 138-acre estate. The role involves curating menus that elevate guest experience and ensuring high standards across the kitchen.

You will lead and mentor kitchen staff, manage food costs and margins, and uphold strict HACCP and food safety policies to deliver exceptional cuisine across all outlets, including weddings, meetings and events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years as Head Chef
• Strong leadership to inspire standards
• Creative and passionate about menu advancement
• Experienced in cost control
• Ability to instil a food safety ethos in team members

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day kitchen operations with the senior management team
• Design menus that elevate guest experience while upholding quality and consistency
• Maintain high standards across kitchen operations including all food preparation
• Ensure HACCP and food safety policies are followed
