The Role

This role will play a critical part in delivering end-to-end EUC architecture for a leading global retail organization, supporting a large, distributed estate across stores, offices, and distribution centres. The position will drive transition, transformation, and modernization initiatives, including cloud-based endpoint management, digital workplace technologies, and secure, scalable EUC platforms.

The EUC Architect will influence enterprise-wide strategy and design, working closely with senior IT leadership to enhance operational efficiency, user experience, and compliance in a fast-paced retail environment. The role provides exposure to large-scale, multi-technology ecosystems spanning Windows, macOS, mobile platforms, endpoint security, and retail-specific systems such as EPOS.

Additionally, the role offers access to cutting-edge technologies including Microsoft Intune, modern device management, automation frameworks, digital experience monitoring tools, and cloud-driven EUC services. The architect will lead innovation initiatives, enabling automation, analytics-driven insights, and continuous service improvement, directly impacting business performance and customer experience at scale.

Your responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end EUC architecture across endpoint platforms (Windows, macOS, mobile, EPOS)
• Lead EUC transition and transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment to business and IT strategy
• Design and implement modern device management solutions (Intune, SCCM, Autopilot)
• Drive endpoint security, compliance, and patch management standards across the estate
• Collaborate with IT leadership and stakeholders to enable strategic decision-making
• Establish governance, standards, and best practices for EUC service delivery
• Oversee application packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management across platforms
• Ensure high availability and performance of business-critical EUC services
• Lead innovation through automation, digital experience monitoring, and analytics-driven improvements
• Support audit readiness, risk mitigation, and adherence to regulatory and security requirements

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

• Strong expertise in EUC architecture across Windows, macOS, and mobile device management
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, SCCM, Autopilot, and modern endpoint management
• Proven experience in leading large-scale EUC transition and transformation programs
• Deep understanding of endpoint security, compliance, patching, and vulnerability management
• Experience in managing retail-specific technologies such as EPOS and store devices
• Strong knowledge of application packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management
• Ability to define EUC standards, governance models, and service delivery frameworks
• Experience working with senior stakeholders (CIO/IT leadership) and driving strategic decisions
• Exposure to digital experience tools (e.g., Nexthink, SysTrack) and automation initiatives
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management capabilities in complex environments
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365) and cloud-native EUC solutions
• Exposure to Zero Trust architecture and advanced endpoint security frameworks
• Knowledge of identity and access management (Azure AD, Conditional Access, MFA)
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow) and ITIL-based service management practices
• Experience in retail or distributed enterprise environments with large-scale endpoint estates
• Understanding of automation and scripting (PowerShell) for EUC optimization
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD for endpoint configuration and application deployment
• Experience working in multi-vendor and geographically distributed delivery models
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR) and audit processes
• Strong communication and presentation skills for executive-level reporting and workshops
