Job summary

PTC Therapeutics, Inc. seeks an Associate Director, EU Data Protection Officer (EU DPO) to lead GDPR governance and risk management across Europe. You will partner with Legal, IT, Compliance, HR, and Clinical ops to embed privacy-by-design and ensure regulatory readiness.

You will oversee DPIAs/LIAs/FRIA, manage data subject rights, and coordinate with supervisory authorities while maintaining RoPA and DPAs in a highly regulated biopharma environment.

Qualifications

• Strong practical GDPR implementation experience in complex/global settings.
• Experience reviewing DPAs and vendor privacy contracts.
• RoPA governance and data processing records maintenance.
• Managing data subject rights and regulatory inquiries.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive privacy-by-design in programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance, program execution and oversight of GDPR compliance across Europe.
• Provide practical guidance on GDPR and related requirements to cross-functional teams.
• Conduct privacy risk assessments (DPIAs/LIAs/FRIAs) with established methodologies.
• Coordinate responses to data subject rights requests and supervisory authorities.
• Maintain privacy documentation, RoPA, and vendor contract reviews.
