Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an experienced pharmaceutical/medical device fitter to perform planned and unplanned maintenance across aseptic manufacturing, filling and/or packaging. You will join a strong multidisciplinary team and contribute to continuous improvements to ensure safe, first-class products reach customers.

The role emphasizes root-cause analysis, equipment qualification support, and collaboration across groups to uphold health and safety standards. Overtime and shift work may be required.

Qualifications

  • Trade Certified Mechanical Qualification.
  • 4+ years’ maintenance and troubleshooting experience in a highly automated production environment, including aseptic filling lines, packaging operations, automated inspection lines and robotic packing.
  • Experience in GMP or other regulated environment and knowledge of required safety standards.
  • Strong ability to evaluate, diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
  • Flexibility to respond to issues outside normal business hours.
  • Ability to read, analyse, interpret technical data and procedures.
  • Experience with electromechanical manufacturing equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Planned and unplanned maintenance of mechanical services, plant and equipment.
  • Identify root cause of equipment issues and implement solutions.
  • Support machine and equipment effectiveness improvements.
  • Sourcing of equipment spare parts.
