Job summary

Mercor is partnering with a leading legal AI company on a blinded human-preference study. Experienced environmental lawyers will serve as expert reviewers—reading a realistic legal matter, reviewing six AI-generated work products for it, and recording which they prefer with written reasoning.

Practice scope includes NEPA sufficiency review of a draft environmental impact statement and CERCLA contribution claim defence and allocation. NDA applies and external AI tools must not be used.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with substantive practice experience in environmental law and related areas.
• Ability to judge work product holistically for accuracy, completeness, and usefulness.
• Precise written English and ability to follow instructions to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Read a synthetic legal matter and underlying documents.
• Review six blinded AI deliverables (A–F) for the matter.
• Write five head-to-head comparisons with concise rationales.
