Job summary

CareerWise Recruitment is seeking a dedicated EHS professional in Ireland to develop, implement and monitor environmental, health and safety programs on site.

You will lead risk assessments, train staff and ensure compliance with government regulations and company standards while supporting continuous improvement across operations.

This full-time role requires 3+ years in pharma or similar sectors.

Qualifications

• BS/ BA in Health and Safety or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in an EHS role within the pharmaceutical industry or similar industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor EHS programs to ensure regulatory and standards compliance.
• Create and roll out accurate procedures, training materials and EHS related processes.
• Perform EHS risk assessments (chemical, biological, machinery, area) and suggest controls.
• Develop and maintain health, safety and environmental training programs.
• Manage EHS incident reporting and root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate internal EHS audits and corrective actions to ensure readiness.

Job description

• Develop, implement and monitor environmental, health & safety programs to ensure compliance with all applicable government regulations and company standards and values.
• Drive effective writing/revising/rolling out of accurate operational procedures, training materials and EHS related procedures, ensure all work is subsequently carried out in line with same.
• Perform EHS risk assessments such as: chemical; biological; machinery; area; task specific; and make recommendations to control hazards.
• Develop, implement and maintain training programs for health, safety and the environment. Support EHS training and inductions for new hires, ongoing refresher training for existing staff and deliver EHS related training programmes to all levels within the organization.
• Maintain the EHS incident management process on site. Manage EHS incidents to closure, including root cause analysis and CAPA management.
• Coordinate internal EHS auditing and inspection and actively follow up on necessary corrective actions to ensure audit readiness.
