Job summary

WSP is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support a major rail infrastructure programme in Dublin. You will provide technical oversight and assurance, acting as the environmental contact for sections of works and coordinating with contractors and design teams to embed best practice environmental management throughout delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental science, engineering, geoscience or related discipline.
• Significant experience in environmental management on large infrastructure or rail projects.
• Strong understanding of Environmental Impact Assessment and Irish planning legislation.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and complex project environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure environmental compliance with Railway Order and project requirements.
• Review contractor environmental plans and design submissions for alignment with standards.
• Develop environmental solutions during design phase and monitor performance.
• Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to embed environmental best practices.
