Job summary

embecta is a global diabetes care company leveraging its 100-year legacy in insulin delivery to empower people with diabetes to live their best life through innovative solutions and reliable manufacturing operations.

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to promote a Safety First culture, coach and develop the engineering team, drive data‑driven problem solving, ensure regulatory compliance, own non‑conformances and lead automation, capital projects and new product introductions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 10+ years' process engineering experience in regulated manufacturing.
  • 5+ years leading teams in a regulated environment.
  • Experience with new product introduction and technical transfers.
  • Strong program management and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and promote a Safety First culture, ensuring compliant and safe working practices.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the engineering team through clear objectives, performance reviews, and capability development.
  • Champion structured, data-driven problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure engineering compliance with quality systems, training requirements, and regulatory standards.
  • Own engineering non-conformances, failure investigations, change management, and customer complaints.
  • Drive productivity, waste reduction, and equipment reliability through effective maintenance, calibration, and spares programmes.
  • Provide technical leadership to support operational performance, new product introductions, and technical transfers.
  • Support automation, capital projects, and design-for-manufacture initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience with new product introduction, technical transfers, and high-speed automation.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a compliance-driven environment.
  • Project management experience is beneficial.
