Job summary

MSD Ireland is seeking an ambitious Maintenance Engineering professional to support day-to-day plant operation and maintenance within a dynamic API production environment. You will collaborate with a Reliability Engineer on RBAM events and projects to improve uptime and performance, while contributing to the Mechanical Integrity Programme and CMMS improvements.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day plant operation and maintenance as part of Maintenance Engineering team
• Assist with reliability events and RBAM projects to improve uptime
• Develop and execute Mechanical Integrity Programme data analysis
• Review capital projects with Electrical Engineer for maintenance and ATEX/ARC Flash
• Support Predictive Maintenance systems and test new technologies for Digital Reliability
• Improve CMMS via change control under Reliability Engineer guidance

• Support MRO spend management to identify cost savings
• Data mining/analysis using Power Apps, Power BI
• Write/revise/roll out maintenance procedures and training materials

So, what will you will be responsible for?

• Work as part of the Maintenance Engineering team supporting day to day plant operation and maintenance.
• Work in conjunction with the Reliability Engineer in the preparation, support during and close out of Risk Based Asset Management (RBAM) Events and Reliability Engineering projects that will improve plant uptime and performance.
• Assist in the development and execution and data analysis of the Mechanical Integrity Programme for the site.
• Work with the Site Electrical Engineer in the review of capital projects, Electrical System Maintenance, Programmes such as ATEX inspection and ARC Flash mitigation.
• Support the sites Predictive Maintenance system (Vibration, Thermal, Oil Analysis, etc.), while testing emerging technologies towards achieving a new Digital Reliability strategy.
• Implement ongoing improvements to the site Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) via change control process under the guidance of the Reliability Engineer.
• Responsible for progressing the build of Bill of Materials (BOM’s) on critical equipment within API production facilities to the point of order with on-site vendor.
• Support the M&I departments MRO spend management program to identify potential cost saving opportunities and eliminate non-valued added activities.
• Data Mining and Analysis Activities – use of tools such as Microsoft Power Apps, Power BI.
• Participate in writing/revising/ rolling out accurate operational procedures, training materials and maintenance procedures for various systems.

The Ideal Person Will Have

• Mechanical/Electrical Engineering qualification or relevant discipline 2:1
• Strong communication skills and ability to work on own initiative will be a prerequisite.
• Being a self-starter and being able to project manage activities will be a distinct advantage.
