Our client is a leading, Irish, multi-disciplinary consultancy based just outside of Dublin. With a reputation of excellence with a sense of humor, they are expanding thanks to continued successes with industry leading clients.


They are looking for a forensic engineer or site agent / site engineer who wants to do something different. If you are a site agent / site engineer, wanting a change, they offer full training on aspects of forensic engineering.


The role:

As a Forensic Engineer / Engineering Expert Witness, you will be responsible for:



  • Carry out inspections at accident locations (road, factory, building, machine, etc.).

  • Photograph the relevant areas and equipment/vehicles.

  • Record dimensions and carry out testing as required (e.g., slip assessments, force calculations, light assessments, etc.).

  • Research regulations, standards, and guidelines.

  • Create a technical report.

  • Advise clients on liability.

  • Deliver evidence and face cross-examination as an expert witness in court cases.

What you need:


  • At least Degree educated in an Engineering discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Fire)

  • 8+ years experience

  • Chartered Engineer (or willingness to get chartered)

  • Experienced with on site engineering

  • Driving licence
