Job summary

Windmill Healthcare Group is seeking an experienced Activities Co Ordinator to join the Windmill House Care Centre care team. You will work with the activities team to provide a comprehensive programme of recreational, physical, and social activities for residents.

Reporting to the Director of Nursing / Person in Charge, you will coordinate a varied programme, tailor activities to needs, liaise with community services, and lead staff in delivering meaningful activities while maintaining

Qualifications

Essential: Leaving Certificate.
Level 5 Qualification in Health or Social Care.
Desirable: Sonas Course Level 1 & 2.
Experience in a Nursing Home or Social Care environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate a varied activities programme for residents.
Review resident activity assessments regularly or as needs change.
Identify needs of groups and individuals and tailor activities.
Record attendance at activities using EpiCare.
Encourage resident participation and build supportive relationships.
Educate staff to provide resident activities effectively.
Plan and implement events such as outings, garden visits, birthdays, Christmas.
Liaise with libraries and community services to enrich residents' experiences.
Attend training and undertake other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
