Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Ireland is seeking a senior Energy professional to lead the growth of our HV Grid and wider power business across Ireland. The role focuses on strategic opportunity development, senior client relationship management with EirGrid and ESB Networks, and technical leadership on HV transmission projects up to 400 kV.

The position requires Chartered Electrical Engineer credentials, strong HV experience, and a track record in team-building and market development within Ireland's rapidly

Overview

AtkinsRéalis Ireland is seeking a senior Energy professional to lead the growth of our HV Grid and wider power business across Ireland. This is a growth‑focused leadership role for someone with strong HV technical capability and deep knowledge of EirGrid and ESB Networks standards, who wants to build and scale a high‑performing power team in a fast‑expanding market.

Your role

• Identify, shape and convert strategic opportunities across TSO/DSO, large energy users and emerging energy transition markets, building a robust pipeline aligned to our growth ambitions.
• Develop and maintain senior client relationships with EirGrid, ESB Networks and key private sector clients, positioning AtkinsRéalis as a trusted partner for complex grid and energy transition programmes.
• Act as a senior technical authority for HV transmission and distribution projects delivered under EirGrid and ESB Networks frameworks, including networks up to 400 kV.
• Provide technical leadership across TSO and DSO projects, including substations, grid development and connection schemes.
• Play a key role in building and growing the HV and wider Power team, developing depth, capability and succession.
• Develop and expand our grid connection, private wire and large energy user workstreams.
• Work closely with EirGrid, ESB Networks and other regulated network operators, as well as private developers and global clients.
• Support major bids and pursuits, converting framework opportunities and pipeline into sustainable delivery.

About You

• Chartered Electrical Engineer.
• Relevant years of industry experience.
• Strong experience in HV transmission and distribution systems, including substations and grid connections.
• Demonstrable knowledge of EirGrid and ESB Networks standards and practices.
• Knowledge and experience in energisation of large energy users and grid connections.
• Comfortable working on national TSO/DSO networks up to 400 kV.
• Confident operating at senior technical and client‑facing level.
• Motivated by team building, growth and market development.
