Job summary

Sherpa Kids Ireland is seeking part-time after-school staff to supervise and engage primary school children at local schools across Ireland. You will support homework, run activities, and help create a safe, inclusive environment.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 1:30 to 6:00 pm, with energetic, friendly teamwork and opportunities to make a positive impact on families while gaining valuable childcare experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with school-aged children (minimum 1 year).
  • Basic knowledge of child development.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Garda vetting is essential (arranged after interview).
  • Work permit/VISA is essential.
  • At least two written references required before starting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise children during activities and free play.
  • Assist with homework and educational tasks.
  • Engage in a variety of planned indoor and outdoor activities with the children.
