Job summary

The Dock, Accenture's flagship R&D and Global Innovation Center in Dublin, seeks an Engineering Lead to own engineering workstreams from discovery to deployment.

You will work hands-on in AI-enabled product development, collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and product partners in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

The role emphasizes balancing speed with quality, shaping technical strategy, and delivering maintainable software in a cloud-native setup.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years’ experience as a software engineer delivering production-grade systems.
• Own and deliver technical workstreams end-to-end, from design to handover.
• Strong fundamentals: system design, APIs, data management, testing, code quality.
• Hands-on experience building AI-enabled capabilities into products.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous problem spaces and translate requirements.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle including ops and support.
• Familiar with cloud-native environments and modern delivery tooling.
• Proven ability to make engineering trade-offs across speed, quality, scalability and cost.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver engineering workstreams end-to-end from discovery to deployment.
• Hands-on engineering with significant parts of the implementation.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product partners to build AI-enabled capabilities.
• Balance fast delivery with maintainability and long-term support.
• Contribute to team capability via code reviews, pairing and shared standards.
• Stay current on AI tooling and apply judiciously.
• Ensure solutions are deployable, operable and evolvable.
