Job summary

Corlann is hiring an Employment Roles Facilitator in Ennis, Co. Clare. This permanent part-time role (50/78 hours fortnightly) offers a structured programme supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities through two-year vocational training with QQI/Level 1-4 awards.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree or higher, a full clean driver’s licence, and strong report-writing and teamwork skills. Corlann is an Equal Opportunities Employer.

Role: Employment Roles Facilitator

Contract Available: Permanent Part-Time 50/78 (50 hours fortnightly)

The role of an Employment Roles Facilitator

The Vocational Training and Streetwise Programmes supports individuals in a two-year programme focusing on Employment, Training and Valued Roles. This programme aims to enable people with intellectual disabilities to plan, develop their goals and exercise choice focused on key outcomes of the programme. It offers QQI/Level 1-4 major award(s) i.e. Employability Skills or a series of minor awards may also be achieved.

The movement towards greater community inclusion and active citizenship for people with disabilities will be a key part of the process of making sure that people can hold socially valued roles.

The designate of the specialist service provider should make sure that people with disabilities can explore what for them, would represent valued social roles in their community. Information and familiarisation with the concept of holding valued social roles may be necessary.
