Johnson & Johnson, via DePuy Synthes, seeks an EMEA Technology Manager, Tender & Pricing to shape contracting tech across the region. Translate commercial needs into epics, own the roadmap, and collaborate with Commercial, Legal, Finance, and IT to deliver scalable tender management solutions.

You will lead Agile delivery, apply AI to pricing and automation, monitor KPIs, and embody the Credo in a hybrid setup centered in Ringaskiddy, Cork, Ireland.

  • 6-8 years of progressive experience in technology product management or related roles.
  • Experience with enterprise commercial systems (contracting, pricing, CRM, ERP) and system integrations.

Job Description

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a EMEA Technology Manager, Tender & Pricing.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. Job Overview

The EMEA Technology Manager, Tender & Pricing plays a critical role in shaping and delivering commercial contracting technology capabilities that enable compliant, scalable, and efficient contracting processes including tender management across the EMEA region. This role owns the product vision and roadmap for contracting solutions, translates regional commercial needs into prioritized technology outcomes, and partners closely with Commercial, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain and other Technology Teams. The role is impactful, highly visible, and central to advancing DePuy Synthes' commercial execution and digital transformation agenda and reports into the DePuy Synthes Technology organization

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and drive the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for EMEA contracting technology solutions, ensuring alignment with commercial strategy and regulatory requirements.
  • Translate business, legal, and commercial contracting requirements into clear epics, features, and user stories with defined acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with Commercial, Pricing, and Tender Management teams to support tender lifecycle processes, bid governance, and contract execution.
  • Partner with Commercial, Legal, Finance, Compliance, and IT stakeholders to ensure end‑to‑end contract lifecycle solutions meet business needs and policy standards.
  • Lead Agile delivery by prioritizing work, participating in sprint planning and reviews, and ensuring timely, high‑quality releases.
  • Lead the application of AI, advanced analytics, and automation to modernize commercial platforms, enhancing customer engagement, pricing and revenue optimization, and data driven decision making while driving scalable and compliant commercial execution across sales, marketing, and customer operations.
  • Ensure data integrity, system integration, and scalability across contracting, pricing, and related commercial platforms.
  • Manage dependencies and risks across regional and global initiatives, proactively resolving issues that may impact delivery or compliance.
  • Monitor product performance through KPIs and user feedback, driving continuous improvement and measurable business outcomes.
  • Champion Johnson & Johnson's Credo and Leadership Imperatives, fostering collaboration, accountability, and innovation across teams.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree required in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
Experience and Skills - Required
  • 6-8 years of progressive experience in technology product management, product ownership, or commercial IT roles, including ownership of enterprise applications.
  • Experience working with enterprise commercial systems (e.g., contracting, pricing, CRM, ERP, tender management, and bid management systems), including system integrations, data flows, and Agile delivery tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps), supporting commercial operations in a healthcare, MedTech, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracting processes, pricing governance, and the ability to translate complex business needs into technology solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams through influence, prioritize competing demands, and drive outcomes without direct authority.
  • Experience operating in regulated environments, ensuring solutions meet compliance, legal, and data‑privacy standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and present complex topics clearly.
Experience and Skills - Preferred
  • Experience supporting EMEA commercial organizations and managing region‑specific regulatory or contracting nuances.
  • Prior experience as a Product Owner within Agile/Scrum teams, including backlog ownership and release planning.
  • Familiarity with contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms and integrations with pricing or finance systems.
  • Demonstrated success driving process standardization and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working in matrixed, global organizations.

  • Languages: Fluent English required; additional European languages preferred.
  • Travel: Up to 10-20% international travel within EMEA.
  • Certifications: Agile/Scrum Product Owner certification preferred.
  • Hybrid Working Model: This is a hybrid role, with an expectation that employees will work from the office three days per week to support collaboration, team engagement, and business needs.
Base pay range

70,100.00 - 121,210.00
