Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking an exceptional Quality Assurance Cabling Manager to lead a data centre quality team in our Global Network Delivery organisation. As a key leader in our infrastructure team, you will drive best‑in‑class cabling quality across AWS' global data centres, helping us maintain our position as the world's most efficient and cost‑effective cloud infrastructure provider. In this role, you will lead a team of Cabling Quality Assurance (QA) Program Managers and Technicians, establishing and maintaining the highest quality standards for our data centre network deployments. Your team will be instrumental in ensuring that all design, build, scaling, and hardware installations meet AWS's rigorous quality guidelines, ultimately enabling seamless cloud services for our customers worldwide.

Infrastructure Services (AIS)

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centres and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help.

You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. There's nothing we can't achieve in the cloud.

A day in the life

Your typical day will involve collaborating across multiple disciplines and time zones. You'll start by reviewing quality metrics from previous day's inspections and checklist findings and address any immediate concerns with your team. Throughout the day, you'll conduct one‑on‑one meetings with team members, participate in cross‑functional planning sessions, analyse trend data, drive root cause analysis, and identify improvement opportunities for our programmes.

You'll work directly with Cabling Quality Assurance team members as well as Design, Construction, Deployment managers and vendors to refine structured cabling and installation standards. You will visit data centres to ensure compliance, facilitate partner team training, and gather insights for continuous improvement. You will find yourself leading technical whiteboard sessions to resolve implementation challenges and presenting quality metrics to senior leadership.
