Job summary

Anderson McQue is seeking an Electrical Day Technician for a biopharmaceutical site in Ireland. The role focuses on executing preventive and corrective maintenance to maximise uptime of utilities, plant and equipment, and to ensure compliance with GMP and client requirements.

You will collaborate with the Maintenance and Calibration teams, liaise with contractors and client engineering, perform risk assessments, update maintenance plans, and support audits to sustain safe, reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Electrical experience (2+ years) on utilities and plant equipment.
• Familiar with GMP regulations and site EHS procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience in preventive maintenance planning and CMMS environments.
• Knowledge of PLCs and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance work as per schedules from Maintenance Coordinator and site procedures.
• Troubleshoot utility equipment problems as directed by site supervisors.
• Update maintenance documentation before and after tasks; complete MTAs.
• Coordinate with Contract Manager, contract team, and client engineering representatives.
• Participate in safety audits and ensure compliance with EHS rules.
• Review and improve PM content and frequency for reliability and cost.
• Support site during shutdowns and coordinate with external contractors.
