Our client, Castleblaney Plant Hire Limited t/a Monaghan Hire based in Castleblaney, Co. Monaghan, is currently seeking Electrical Maintenance Technicians for immediate start for their two locations in Co. Monaghan.

Qualifications

• There are no minimum academic requirements. Training will be provided on-the-job.
• A minimum of 2 years’ previous experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician or similar is required.
• No formal qualifications are required for this role.

General Duties / Responsibilities / Experience

• To provide preventive and reactive maintenance to a plant hire facility
• To work with electrical engineers to perform technical tasks and aid in the designing, testing, manufacturing, operation and repair of electrical devices and facilities
• To design and prepare blueprints of electrical installations and circuitry according to required specifications
• To monitor technical aspects of the installation, utilisation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment to ensure satisfactory performance and compliance with regulations
• Essential knowledge for the role includes design drawings, electrical discharge and electrical equipment components
• Essential skills include aligning components, applying soldering techniques and adjusting engineering designs

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of electrical testing methods, electrical wiring diagrams and electricity principles
• Competent to ensure material compliance, measure electrical characterises and perform test runs
• Experience in recording test data, testing electrical equipment and reading drawings and blueprints
• Previous experience in providing electrical maintenance in a plant hire setting is a plus

Requirements

• 2 years of previous relevant experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician or similar role is required.

Annual remuneration

€34,000.00 per annum; Pay rate €16.77 per hour
