Job summary

PepsiCo Carrigaline offers an Electrical and Instrumentation Apprenticeship within its Maintenance Engineering function at a state-of-the-art food and beverage facility.

The apprentice will complete the SOLAS national standards‑based program, gaining on‑the‑job experience alongside off‑the‑job training to become a qualified Craft Electrician capable of maintaining and fault-finding critical equipment in a GMP environment.

Qualifications

• Formally registered on the SOLAS Electrical and Instrumentation Apprenticeship program
• Leaving Certificate with Maths and/or Physics
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with shift patterns
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance of electrical equipment and instruments
• Support PLC and automation-related equipment where applicable
• Record maintenance activities using PepsiCo's CMMS
• Work with electrical, mechanical and production teams to support safe operations
• Participate in planned preventive maintenance and breakdown response
