Job summary

Instrotec Ltd in Westport is seeking a full-time Estimator with electrical experience to join our head office, with site work across various projects.

The role covers tendering for national and international projects, preparing detailed take-offs and estimates from drawings and specs, and coordinating with operations to ensure timely submissions and smooth handovers on award.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2+ years post qualification experience in electrical contracting.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Tendering on large-scale projects nationally and internationally.
• Involved in the full tendering process from start to finish.
• Prepare detailed take-offs and estimates from drawings and specifications.
• Review tender information and prepare queries and value engineering alternatives.
• Attending pre- and post-tender interviews.
• Coordinating and interfacing tender activities with departments to ensure timely submissions.
• Handover meetings with operations upon award of successful projects.

We are currently seeking to recruit a full time Estimator with electrical experience to be based at our head office in Westport, encompassing site work across our projects.

Responsibilities

• Tendering on a variety of large-scale projects on a national and international level, including datacentre, life science, healthcare & pharma.
• Involved in full tendering process from beginning to completion.
• Experience in an Electrical contracting environment essential, with Instrumentation/BMS experience an advantage but not essential.
• Prepare detailed take offs & estimates, taking into account all the relevant drawings, specifications & related documentation
• Ability to review tender information and prepare tender queries & value engineering alternatives.
• Attending pre & post tender interviews.
• Managing & interfacing of the tendering process with the various departments, and the timely submitting of the tender.
• Handover meeting with operations upon award of successful projects
• Ability to work independently yet be part of an integrated team.
