Job summary
Jones Engineering in Little Island, Cork is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. You will contribute to project development, conduct technical assessments, prepare reports and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure milestones are met.
You will review schematics and GA plans, validate equipment, and prepare submittals while maintaining quality on site to support a smooth handover. Opportunities to advance toward Chartered Engineer exist through CPD and training.
Qualifications
- 3rd level electrical qualification is essential.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Pharma/Industrial project experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
Responsibilities
- Report progress, risks and issues to Project Manager/Engineering Manager.
- Analyse supplier information for alignment with design specifications.
- Review schematics, GA plans and project specifications.
- Design reviews and equipment validation.
- Prepare technical submittals, RFIs, equipment registers and trackers.
- Review design documentation and identify scope gaps.
- On-site quality checks to ensure handover readiness.
