Job summary

Global Professional Consultants seeks an Electrical Engineer to join a leading Cork main contractor on pharmaceutical, industrial, and commercial projects. The role covers design, pre-construction submissions, site coordination, and QA/QC documentation.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years' E&I experience with a Main/MEP contractor, strong communication, and the ability to operate in fast-paced environments across various large-scale builds in Cork.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction, or a relevant trade qualification.
• Minimum 3+ years' experience as an Electrical Engineer with a Main Contractor or MEP Contractor.
• Experience on commercial, industrial, or high-spec construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical engineering activities across the project, ensuring installations meet client specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements.
• Provide technical support and assist with the development of engineering deliverables.
• Be involved in pre-construction activities, including technical submissions, construction drawings, H&S documentation, and commissioning requirements.
• Oversee site installation, inspections, progress, and quality, coordinating electrical services with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and wider delivery team.
• Support procurement and manage key project documentation, including electrical packages, drawings, RFIs, technical submittals, schedules, and QA/QC records.
• Assist with commissioning, testing, subcontractor coordination, and final handover activities.
