Job summary

AIR Sligo, part of the AIR Group, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join the engineering team and support the delivery of bespoke automated equipment. You will translate customer requirements into high‑quality electrical designs and assist in build, test and commissioning activities.

You will develop electrical designs for complex automation projects, detail schematics, source components, and create test plans while liaising with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' industry experience in electrical design and debugging of manufacturing equipment.
• Familiarity with electrical controls, motors, drives and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for complex automation projects.
• Detail electrical schematics for build and commissioning.
• Source electrical components for designs.
• Create test plans and documentation for developed designs.
• Assist in electrical debug of systems and liaise with customers & suppliers.
