Job summary

A local childcare provider in Tallaght is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual for a term-time only role. The ideal candidate will have a minimum FETAC Level 5 childcare qualification and will be committed to providing high-quality care and education to children. Responsibilities include managing daily routines, filling out necessary paperwork, and communicating with parents and staff. The position offers daytime hours, starting in January 2026.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum FETAC Level 5 in childcare qualification or equivalent.
• Fluent English and teamwork skills essential.
• Knowledge and commitment to Aistear and Siolta frameworks required.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day routines and paperwork.

Job description

Firhouse Childcare are looking for a dedicated, energetic & motivated person who is committed to providing an excellent standard of care and education to the children in our service. This position is term – time only (closed during school holidays)

Hours of work 9.00/9.15am – 9.15/12.45pm

Start date: January 2026

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum FETAC Level 5 in childcare qualification or equivalent (as recognised by DCYA)
• Fluent in English
• Ability to work well within a team
• Good knowledge and commitment to best practice in all aspects of Early Childhood Care and Education (Aistear and Siolta, DES and TUSLA)
• Can manage day to day routine of a room, filling in paperwork, communicating with parents and staff.
