Amazon DynamoDB is seeking an engineering leader to drive the next generation of distributed, highly scalable cloud database services. You will manage a team of engineers, shape architecture for multi‑tier web services, and collaborate with product and program management to deliver high-impact features at scale.

The role emphasizes people management, technical excellence, and delivering reliable systems in a fast-paced AWS environment.

Qualifications

Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations.
Experience in engineering team management.
Experience in engineering.
Experience in leading the definition and development of multi tier web services.
Experience partnering with product and program management teams.

Responsibilities

Identify technical requirements based on business goals and product direction, translating them into architecture and design.
Lead multi-engineer, cross-team projects, mentoring on project management and prioritization.
Deliver quality projects and features on time and on budget.
Lead design reviews and drive technical best practices for the team.
Oversee full lifecycle of day-to-day development activities, including prioritization, task breakdowns, design docs, reviews, implementation, deployment, and operations.
Perform data analysis to identify opportunities to optimize services.
