Job summary

Woodston Personnel Ltd. seeks a Temporary Consultant Otolaryngologist (ENT) to join a multidisciplinary surgical team in Ireland’s public acute hospital network. The role covers elective, emergency and outpatient ENT services across both adult and pediatric patients.

You will lead clinical care, supervise trainees, and collaborate with allied specialties to maintain high standards of care and safety.

Qualifications

• MCI Registration in Otolaryngology.
• FRCS Otolaryngology or equivalent higher specialist training.
• Experience in elective and emergency ENT procedures.
• ATLS (or equivalent) and Garda Vetting (police clearance) are required.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Care: outpatient consultations, inpatient rounds and ENT procedures for adults and children.
• Surgical Expertise: head and neck evaluation; otology, rhinology, laryngology, pediatric ENT.
• Emergency Cover: participate in on-call rota for ENT emergencies.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: work with Audiology, Speech & Language Therapy, Maxillofacial, Oncology, Radiology, Emergency Medicine.
• Quality & Governance: lead audits and risk management; ensure patient safety.
• Teaching & Mentorship: supervise NCHDs, surgical trainees and students.
