Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Director, Supply Chain Reliability to lead the enterprise strategy for end-to-end performance management across Innovative Medicine. This hybrid role will influence cross-functional teams, drive standardization of scorecards, and embed reliability across the supply chain in Cork, Ireland and global hubs.

We are searching for the best talent for a Director, Supply Chain Reliability! This hybrid position will be located in Titusville, New Jersey (USA). Alternate hybrid locations may be considered at other Innovative Medicine Supply Chain hubs such as Horsham, Pennsylvania (USA); Cork, Ireland; Beerse, Belgium; or Zug, Switzerland. The Director, Supply Chain Reliability is responsible for defining and leading the enterprise strategy for end-to-end performance management and supply chain reliability across Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. This role integrates performance visibility, digital enablement, and reliability methodologies to proactively identify, prioritize, and resolve systemic supply chain risks. This leader will drive the standardization of performance management practices, facilitate the deployment of enterprise scorecards and digital tools, and ensure strong linkage between operational performance and reliability-focused initiatives. Through cross-functional leadership, this role translates data into actionable insights, enabling improved service, quality, and efficiency outcomes across the E2E supply chain.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Strategic Leadership Define and lead the enterprise-wide strategy for E2E supply chain performance management and reliability. Establish a clear vision that connects performance insights to reliability outcomes, driving a proactive and data-driven culture across functions.
  • Performance Management & Governance Own the design and deployment of standardized performance management frameworks, including enterprise scorecards, KPI definitions, and tiered review processes. Ensure alignment and transparency from executive-level performance down to site operations.
  • Reliability Strategy & Execution Develop and embed reliability frameworks to identify recurring, systemic, and high-impact supply chain issues. Lead prioritization and governance of reliability initiatives, ensuring sustainable resolution and measurable impact on performance.
  • Team Leadership & Organization Development Build, lead and develop a high-performing team focused on supply chain performance management and reliability. Define clear roles, priorities, and development pathways while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Digital Transformation and Analytics Oversee the advancement of digital tools and platforms (e.g., OPM) to enable real-time performance visibility and insights. Drive automation of metrics, targets, and commentary, using advanced analytics and AI to enhance decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Integration Partner across supply chain and adjacent functions to ensure alignment on performance standards, metrics, and improvement initiatives. Influence senior stakeholders to drive accountability and adoption of standardized ways of working.
  • Issue Identification & Resolution Establish enterprise methodologies for detecting performance risks and systemic issues. Lead cross-functional deep dives and facilitate resolution of complex challenges impacting service, quality, and cost.
  • Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement Drive continuous improvement through structured performance insights, After Action Reviews, and reliability-focused initiatives. Ensure integration of standard methodologies into performance routines and operational processes.
  • Capability Building & Change Management Lead organizational change to embed performance management and reliability as core capabilities. Develop training, playbooks, and communication strategies to drive adoption and sustainment of new ways of working.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s/University or equivalent degree is required; advanced degree or field of study in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field preferred

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Required:

Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience Experience in Supply Chain Management Demonstrated business process ownership, with deep expertise in E2E supply chain processes (i.e., Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Delivery, and/or Procurement) Proven experience leading enterprise performance management systems and governance frameworks Strong understanding of supply chain reliability, risk management, and continuous improvement methodologies Demonstrated experience driving large-scale digital transformations, embedding new capabilities, and leading change management initiatives Exceptional leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to align senior stakeholders across complex organizations Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, talent development, performance management, and succession planning Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with experience translating data into strategic actions

Preferred:

Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated environments Experience integrating AI and advanced analytics into supply chain decision-making Knowledge of Johnson & Johnson supply chain operating models, systems, and performance management frameworks Proven ability to synthesize complex operational, financial, and technical data into executive-level insights and recommendations

Pay:

The anticipated pay range for this position, in the primary posting location, is: €104,000.00 - €179,515.00 The anticipated pay ranges for additional locations are: Belgium – The anticipated base pay range for this position is EUR 119,200.00 to EUR 204,355.00.
