Job summary

Eden-Social-Care is seeking a dynamic Director of Nursing to lead a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in North Dublin. The role focuses on delivering resident-centred care, clinical excellence, and a positive, supportive environment for staff.

The successful candidate will drive governance, ensure HIQA/NMBI compliance, and lead the opening and ongoing development of the facility. A senior nursing leadership background and strong people skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) with at least 3 years’ experience in the care of older persons within the last 6 years.
• Post-registration management qualification in health or related field.
• At least 2 years’ management experience within healthcare.
• Registered on the NMBI live register.
• Proven track record in clinical management within healthcare.
• Strong decision‑making abilities with a results‑driven approach.
• Good understanding of financial management.
• Ability to motivate and develop team members, work on own initiative and foster a strong team environment.
• Ability to meet the evolving needs of a growing nursing home.

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing nursing and care team.
• Ensure the delivery of safe, compassionate, person-centred care.
• Maintain compliance with HIQA standards, NMBI requirements and relevant legislation.
• Oversee clinical governance, quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement.
